To add to the airy feeling, we used natural G-10 to create a semi-translucent handle that allows you to see the operation of the SpeedSafe® mechanism inside. The Echelon also features our Inset Liner Lock and new reversible deep-carry pocket clip for discreet pocket carry. Made in the USA. To build an Inset Liner Lock, Kershaw insets a strip of steel inside a knife’s handle—most commonly when the handle is G-10. In-setting the lock in this way enables us to create a slimmer knife, while still providing the strength and security of a locking liner.
